Creating Joy

I find that right now in life, I have to purposefully look for and some-days even, create joy.

If you were peering into my life, peaking through the windows of my home, you wouldn’t see too much to complain about.  I live a nice life.  My husband and I raise our three children with the standards taught within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  We strive to teach by example.  I’m married to a good man; he provides for our family, helps out at home, honors his priesthood.  My teenagers don’t rebel or act out.  Sure, there is plenty of eye rolling and sharp tones of voices, but nothing I’m majorly concerned about. We are all in good health.  We live in a safe neighborhood with strong support in our community and ward.  We are busy, productive, and dare I say ... happy?

My goal is to discover the joy that I feel like I’m missing.

Hopefully one day, recognizing the joy in my life will be natural and intuitive.  That is what I am training myself to become: joyful.
